Template for Edhesive & College Board innovation submissions in Google Classroom

Template for Edhesive & College Board innovation submissions

You will turn in two completed versions of the below template:

1. Complete the template for your Edhesive submission using the innovation idea from your list you submitted to me Wednesday. (20 pts.)

2. Complete the template again for your AP Exam submission to your College Board portfolio. (20 pts.)

** I would spend THE MOST TIME and EFFORT on the AP Exam submission. I advise you to use the Edhesive submission as a practice run of your AP Exam. In other words, do more research and take the time to really amplify what you input into the template for your AP Exam submission.

Submit both google documents to this assignment.

Innovations Ideas List in Google Classroom

Innovations Ideas List

Come up with a list of innovations in computing. List a minimum of 4 ideas. Share that document with me by Wednesday.

As a rule, any innovation where you can discuss computing components is allowed:

Good choices: software or applications run by digital components (i.e. video streaming service, Snapchat, Instagram, bitcoin, etc.)
Possibly good choices*: broad computing innovations that use digital components (i.e. self-driving car, laptop computer, smart watch)
Bad choices: hardware or technologies with no computing component (i.e. wireless bluetooth headphones, ethernet cable)
*These innovations are good choices if you focus on the computational components within the technology (not just the technology itself).

Lastly, your computing innovation needs to be researchable, meaning that credible sources have written about or discussed the topic. As you brainstorm topics, make sure there are sources available on the computing innovations that interest you.

For the Edhesive portal, choose one computing innovation you'd like to continue researching. Any innovation you choose to use in this Mini Explore Task module you CANNOT use on the exam. Use this as a practice-run for what you will be doing for the College Board digital portfolio submission. I would not use the one that interests you the most as your Edhesive submission.

Be sure to save your list of potential options for computing innovations, as you can choose to research one of those for the real Explore Task that you turn in to the College Board. I would make the innovation that is most interesting to you the one you will save to do research and submit as your AP Exam.
