Sparkling Ice® is awarding FIVE $5,000 scholarships to eligible high school seniors who are planning their bright and colorful futures.   • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident of the United States.
  • Must be a high school senior graduating between August 1, 2019 and July 31, 2020.
  • Must have a cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5 on a 4-point scale (high school/home school seniors).

Scholarship Opportunity for Accounting Majors

2020 PICPA High School Senior Scholarship Application

Deadline: March 18 2020 at 11:59 PM EDT (Midnight)

Description

PICPA High School Senior Scholarships are awarded to students attending a Pennsylvania high school interested in majoring in accounting. Other requirements are listed below. Awards are given on a competitive basis to candidates who best satisfy the requirements of high intellectual capacity, leadership potential, and an intent to pursue a career in accounting.

Requirements

1. Applicants are required to be currently enrolled full time at a Pennsylvania high school.
2. Applicants are required to be a senior in high school.
3. Applicants are required to provide:
o Transcript
o Current resume
o Two letters of faculty recommendation
o A 250 word Essay on – Why I want to pursue an accounting career

Any North Star student who took the PSAT in 10th grade created a College Board account.  Students were shown how to use their results to prepare to take the SAT.  Students were also told that the Khan Academy works with College Board, the producers of the SAT exam, and therefore is also another trusted resource to prepare for the exam.
